I want it all.

I want it all.

I want the smooth life. All bills paid, regular traveling, happy family, booming business, and all the things you can think of that the “American dream” tries to sell to you these days. I can admit that. I want it all.

But I will also admit that sometimes in the hustle and bustle of the day to day I forget that life is not actually about being happy. It’s not even about being comfortable. Life should be about how we love God and love each other.

You’re telling me that it’s not about us? No. I am actually here to remind you (and myself) that life is about bringing glory to God through all that we do. Allowing him to use us in ways he had ordained before the foundation of the world.

You were put on this earth to change lives, help perform miracles, and make mighty moves. Do things greater than you could ever imagine.

Social media these days says “Do what you want. Work less but enjoy more… it’s all about you.” But the bible reminds us that we aren’t here to be comfortable. We’re here to partner with Heaven on the good works he has for us to do.

It’s ok to want it all. But at the same time, let’s not lose focus on the main reason we are here. And that’s to partner with our Heavenly Father in doing good works on this earth and bring glory to him.

Let’s reach the point where we realize that we actually do “have it all” when we have Christ.

Matthew 6:25–34 (ESV)

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? 28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
