Life is Fragile- and that's a good thing.

Life is funny. There are days you think you’ve got it altogether and then there are days when you wonder why you’re even here.
But that’s also the beauty of life– it’s fragile.
It reminds me of a butterfly- beautiful in it’s own right but if it runs into the wrong situation it can be squashed in an instant. I think we forget how fragile our own lives are and thus forget what really matters.

Usually we think of fragility as a negative thing because it’s ‘weak’.
However, when we acknowledge our fragility it can help us grow and challenge ourselves to take on new experiences. We also have to face our imperfections and weaknesses but can then determine to make them our strengths and encourage one another because we all share areas where we can improve.
Finally, recognizing our fragility can lead to a deeper appreciation of life’s moments, encouraging a heart of gratitude for both the big and little things– which we often take for granted.
I think the older man or woman at the end of their life who wishes they could have just one more day to live or the person with a terminal illness who has been told their estimated last day to breathe, don’t take for granted the fragility yet beauty of life.
Life can be hard, but it’s also beautiful. What is something you’re grateful for?
